The adventures are designed to be be physically undemanding. However, it is an outdoor game that requires some walking to complete. You can expect around 1-2 km of light walking. This may vary from adventure to adventure, and in each adventure, you can see ahead of time how demanding it is.

There is no strict time limit for completing the game, but most players finish within 2-3 hours. You can take as much time as you need to explore and solve the puzzles at your own pace.

We have an in-app tiered hint system. If you're stuck, you can ask for a hint that will give a bit more information. Normally there are multiple levels of hints available to help you progress without giving away the entire solution.

Mostly yes — but some puzzles rely on reading something outdoors or spotting a detail in daylight, so we recommend starting before 19:00 (earlier in winter). Once you're underway, most of the route is fine after dark, but a late start risks getting stuck on a daylight-dependent puzzle. If you want to play later in the evening, contact us and we'll let you know whether the specific game you're interested in works well after dark.

Absolutely — the game is fully self-paced. Stop for a coffee, lunch, or a drink and pick up exactly where you left off. The game won't end on you, there's no countdown, and for a normal play-through breaks make no difference at all. Plenty of teams build a meal or a café stop right into the route.

The only time it's worth a thought: the leaderboard ranks teams by total time from start to finish, so if you're racing for a top spot, a long break adds to your time. For everyone just out to enjoy the game, ignore this and play at whatever pace you like.

Your score is based on how many attempts you needed per puzzle, how many hints you used, and your total time. At the end of the game you'll see your team's stats and your ranking on the leaderboard. One thing to keep in mind if multiple teams are competing: the displayed completion time doesn't show how many hints each team used, so a team that leaned heavily on hints can look faster than a team that solved everything on its own. Fun for friendly bragging rights, but worth knowing if you're treating it as a serious competition.

Since you'll be walking in the city, you should wear comfortable clothes and shoes – anything in which you can walk around 1-2 kilometers. Don't forget something against sun or rain – if necessary 🙂

All of our games are set within the safest areas of the city. However, be aware of the pickpockets in crowded areas!

Of course! Generally, your dog (or any pet) is welcome since the game takes place outdoors on the streets. If there are any restrictions, they will be explicitly mentioned in the game description. If no such restrictions are noted, pets are allowed.

We get it – you don't want to play an outdoor adventure in a thunderstorm! Don't worry, if it rains, you can simply reschedule your adventure – free of charge!

Of course! You can reschedule free of charge, as often as you like. The game instructions email will give you more details.

Prices are per game, regardless of the number of players (up to 6 players per game). This allows you to enjoy the game with your friends and family without worrying about additional costs for each person.

Vouchers are valid for one year from the date of purchase. If you can't make it within that time — just reach out, and we'll extend it, no problem. Our goal is that you actually get to play, not that the voucher quietly expires.

You can pay by card or PayPal directly at checkout — both are instant and you'll get your access code right away. Bank transfer is also available if you prefer it (handy for company purchases) — just contact us and we'll send the IBAN details. If you need a company invoice (R1), check the "I need an R1 invoice" box at checkout and enter your company details — every purchase gets a standard invoice automatically.

If multiple teams are playing the same game, we recommend starting 10–20 minutes apart. Every team follows the same route through the city, so spacing the starts prevents teams from bumping into each other at puzzle locations or accidentally overhearing answers. If teams are playing different games, they can all start at the same time — no staggering needed. It's a recommendation for the best experience, not a hard rule, so feel free to adapt the gap if your group has a tight schedule.

On the game page, pick any option (e.g. "I don't know yet" if you haven't decided on a time) and go to checkout. In the cart at the top right, you can increase the quantity with the + button — buy as many games as you need teams. After payment you'll receive a separate access code for each game by email, so the organizer can forward one code to each team. If teams want different games, just add each game to the cart separately from its game page.

All our gift vouchers are digital — we email you a personalized PDF with a QR code and access instructions right after purchase. You can forward the email to the recipient, print the PDF, or present it however you like. We don't offer physical gift cards.
